05/30/2010 - MANILA, Philippines – The Los Angeles Lakers will face off with the Boston Celtics in the NBA Finals after getting past the Phoenix Suns,111-103, in Game 6 of the Western Conference finals series on Saturday (Sunday in Manila).
Defending champion Los Angeles won the Western Conference finals, 4-2, while Boston prevailed over Orlando Magic, 4-2.
The Lakers bagged Game 5, 103-101, courtesy of Ron Artest’s buzzer beater to gain the upper hand in the series after Phoenix won Game 4, 115-106.
The Suns also clinched Game 3, 118-109, while the Lakers won the first 2 games (124-112 in Game 2 and 128-107 in Game 1).
Boston, meantime, earned its finals berth after scoring a 96-84 victory over Orlando on Friday
