11/02/2010 - MANILA, Philippines –Despite advisories from the Philippine National Police (PNP), people still brought items banned to cemeteries during All Saints' Day and All Souls' Day, a police spokesperson told reporters in Camp Crame Tuesday.
Senior Superintendent Agrimero Cruz Jr. said that nationwide, police confiscated 106 bladed weapons and 54 bottles of liquor which were sometimes transferred into soft-drink bottles while at the Manila North cemetery alone, 44 steel knuckles were confiscated.
Cruz said that no arrests were made but the cops confiscated the banned items. (Inquirer)
